Important Exam Questions/Answers

1. Do you agree with the hitch-hiker that "the secret of life is to become very very good at something that's very very hard to do."?

--> I agree with the hitch-hiker that the secret of life is to become very very good at something that's very very hard to do. Writing well is very hard, so successful ones enjoy a better life. Using one's fingers very cleverly is very hard, so the hitch-hiker was never caught. Only the fittest ones can survive in this competitive world.

I don't believe in what the hitch-hiker did. Is it possible to take off one's belt without being noticed by the wearer? Taking money out of one's pocket in a crowded place is one thing but taking off the things one is wearing is entirely a different matter.

Thus, being amazed by his magic skills, I proudly say that everyone should try the hardest thing in their life. Because, if you do the easiest things your life will be harder, and if you do the hardest things your life will be easier.

2. Is the hitch-hiker, in your opinion, a good man or a bad one? Does the narrator of the story really believe that the hitch-hiker is a "fantastic fellow"?

--> In my opinion he is not entirely bad. He takes only the winner's money. He does not cheat the loser or the poor person. But my conscience does not allow me to rob anyone.

The narrator really believes that a hitch-hiker is a fantastic fellow because he has not only taken his belongings but saved both of them from trouble by taking the policeman's notebook and ticket book.
